For the collector here is an American Thermos Products Co. late 1950’s Roy Rogers Dale Evans Chow Wagon dome top lunchbox and thermos. The Conestoga appearance of the dome lunchbox has Dale enjoying a cup of joe on the side. The thermos portrays Roy rearing Trigger, his horse against a yellow sky amongst steer in the prairie grass. The lunchbox is embossed on the bottom and reads: “A Thermos brand Product, The American Thermos Products Co., Norwich, CONN. U.S.A.” The thermos is embossed on the bottom and reads the same; it is bottle # 2097H, 10 OZ.SIZE.
Surely this set will bring favored memories of childhood!
Condition: The box is in good working order with some denting at the hinges (the hinge needs to be pushed back into place), the thermos holder is still intact. Edge wear is prevalent due to use and age. The handle and latches have some surface rust. There is some rusting along the interior inner corners of the lunchbox.
The thermos has only a few scratches, the screw in cap is missing and the red cup is split with the finger ring missing.
